New Instructors Come to Krav Maga Maryland

From February 16th through the 22nd, Krav Maga Maryland hosted a Phase A instructor course at the Columbia training center.  This course is the first level of certification that new instructors must pass in order to teach Krav Maga.

For seven days instructor candidates were put through their paces both physically and mentally.  Each day consisted of physical training on all of the techniques found in Level 1.  In addition to the physical training, candidates took part in various mock teaching sessions to help hone their classroom skills.  This intensive approach to training which addresses both physical and teaching skills is one of the hallmarks of the Krav Maga Worldwide instructor certification program.  By requiring candidates to pass both physical and teaching tests, Krav Maga Worldwide is ensuring that even the newest instructors have the skills necessary to successfully teach Krav Maga to their students.

One candidate from Krav Maga Maryland, Devorah Palankar, took part in the week of training.  Her performance was stellar, both on the physical and teaching ends, and we are happy to announce that she will be joining our teaching staff at the Owings Mills training center!  Congratulations to Devorah for a job well done, and we look forward to her continued success with Krav Maga Maryland.
