Jeanine Jackson comes to Krav Maga Maryland! Krav Maga Maryland is excited to have a new addition to our managerial and instructional team. Effective September 15th, Jeanine Jackson, previously with Krav Maga Worldwide's Licensing Division, will take over as General Manager at Krav Maga Maryland's Owings Mills facility. Here's a little bit more about Jeanine: Jeanine was introduced to Krav Maga when she began working at Krav Maga Worldwide (Los Angeles, CA) in November 2005 in part time sales and then full-time working in the Licensing Division. Like many others, she became instantly addicted to Krav Maga after the first class. Jeanine had recently completed her NCAA Division I water polo career, and was looking for a new challenge with similar intensity but without formal competition. She soon completed Phase A (Level 1) instructor certification. While managing the daily operations and customer service for the KMW Licensing Division, she worked her way through Krav Maga Phases B and C as well as Basic and Advanced Fitness Certification training. In 2007, Jeanine had her first amateur Muay Thai fight on the Oxygen Network television show “Fight Girls.” Of this experience, Jeanine says, “Although television and sport fighting were an eye opening experience, it really affirmed my original attraction to Krav Maga. Self-defense is not about competition and win/loss records; Krav Maga is about going home safe. All the lights and cameras were dull in comparison to the electric feeling I get when the proverbial light clicks in a student’s eyes, and I know the skill I just taught could eventually save that individual’s life. Nothing compares.” Jeanine graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Studio Art and completed her MA in Sport Management and Administration at California State University Long Beach. A native of the Los Angeles area, Jeanine is currently transitioning to life in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Jeanine is very excited to share her enthusiasm and passion for self defense, fighting and fitness with the KMMD members. She is looking forward to getting to know the KMMD community and helping to spread the many benefits of Krav Maga training to anyone she can. Please welcome Jeanine as we all look forward to taking advantage of her world-class expertise and passion! |
