| Changes in Room 2 at the Owings Mills facility |
|
Dear Owings Mills members, I hope your Holiday Season has been safe, bright and cheerful. Here at Krav Maga Maryland- Owings Mills, we have so many reasons to be grateful during the Holidays as well as an immense sense of optimism for the New Year. One cause for excitement is the creation of a second training floor. Over the coming weeks, our gym area will undergo a transition. Our goal is to create a second training floor to house our youth training program as well as a more diverse fitness program. On the recently-released Winter 2009 schedule, you will notice the addition of Flexibility, Thai Pad rounds, and Youth Training Level ¾ classes. Come Spring 2009, we will also add the CrossFit program. CrossFit’s philosophy is very compatible with Krav Maga principles: functional workouts, maximum effort, results oriented workouts for muscular strength and anaerobic endurance. For more information, visit www.crossfit.com for details. We want to be clear-by no means is the gym disappearing. However, we have found that many of the single-joint machines are under-utilized but require the most floor space. If anyone has any interest in purchasing any of this equipment at a discounted rate, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Room 2 will be completed in stages: Stage 1: Removal of equipment to be liquidated. Stage 2: Mat Room 2 Stage 3: Stereo Installation Stage 4: Aesthetic details We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the renovation of Room 2. We are certain, however, that all members will benefit as we move closer to becoming our namesake; the highest grade of Krav Maga Training Centers, offering diverse self-defense, youth training, fitness and fighting programs taught by certified instructors, in a safe, inclusive community. I hope you will join us in our excitement. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the renovation, please feel free to share your thoughts with me directly. Happy New Year! Sincerely, Jeanine J. Jackson |
